The Cambridge is a Living-Learning Environment, made especially for students!
The most important part of coming to school, is finishing with a degree. At the Cambridge @ College Station, we believe that education and living go hand in hand, which is why we provide the optimal study environment along with relaxed luxury that only The Cambridge@College Station can offer. While making the transition from home, The Cambridge will take care of food, utilities, furniture, and housekeeping, so our residents can focus on actually being a student and eventually leave College Station as a graduate.
Individual leasing means peace of mind for you. Your financial responsibility is only for your student’s space unlike many apartments or rental houses where a joint lease is signed. If a roommate transfers to another school or moves out of The Cambridge for any reason, you do not have to worry about having to cover their portion of rent.
On-site Professional Staff
The Cambridge has a full Resident Advisor staff that lives on-site and is able to help your student 24-hours a day. The front desk at The Cambridge never closes so that your student can fill out maintenance requests, pick up packages, and get any other needs met anytime they come up. Our maintenance staff will respond to your student’s maintenance issues quickly and professionally. The Cambridge offers 24 hour emergency maintenance as well so that your student’s comfort is not affected.
Affordable Floor Plans
The Cambridge has five spacious floor plan options so they will easily be able to find one to suit their needs. We have one bedrooms, two bedrooms, and four bedrooms. They can share a bedroom and bathroom, or they can have their own. Your students rent includes all utilities (water, sewer, trash, and electricity), a food plan, cable with HBO, high-speed Ethernet or WIFI, furniture, weekly housekeeping, access to The Cambridge amenities, and so much more!
Fully Furnished Units
The Cambridge is a fully-furnished community, saving you money! Each student will have a twin-sized bed, large desk and chair, and four stackable drawers in their bedroom. If they have a floor plan with a living area, they will have a comfortable sofa, oversized chair, coffee table, end table, entertainment center, and dining room table and chairs.
Roommates are essential to the freshman experience
Cambridge’s social environment is based on a one-of-a-kind roommate-matching program. Utilizing Facebook, the world’s largest social network, our students have the opportunity to meet and choose someone who fits them best. With our special social media system, our residents arrive more comfortable, excited, and ready to get involved. Cambridge students have the opportunity to choose their own roommates rather than waiting until the end of the summer in hopes of a good match.
Resident Events to Keep Students Involved
While the main focus of your student’s college career will be about graduating and getting a fulfilling job, they also need to have fun along the way. At The Cambridge, your student will create life-long relationships and connections that will make them even more successful. Our Resident Advisor staff plans monthly resident events to get them involved. These events range from pizza parties to karaoke nights, from resume building classes to football tournaments. Annually, The Cambridge has a Luau at the beginning of the fall semester, a tailgate before one of the A&M football games, a Casino Night at the beginning of the spring semester, and a large football tournament among the residents and staff. We will also keep our residents connected to events going on at Texas A&M University and Blinn College so they don’t miss anything!
Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mean to have an individual lease?
Individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the unit lease or bed space. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the spring semester, you’re not responsible for their payment.
What is included in the rent?
The Cambridge rent is all-inclusive. Your rent includes: All utilities (water, sewer, trash, and electricity), cable with HBO, high-speed ethernet and WIFI access, food, weekly housekeeping, access to all of The Cambridge amenities, and a wonderful staff that is there to help you anytime you need them.
Do you have a roommate matching system?
Yes, all of our residents are linked together on Facebook as soon as they've signed a lease. This way they have the opportunity to interact and find the best possible roommates.
When is my rent due?
Rent is due based on your lease agreement. You can pay up front (due July 1), in semester installments (due July 1 and December 1), or in ten installments (due July 1 and on the first of the month for the next 9 consecutive months).
Do you allow pets?
The only pets we allow are fish.
Is there insurance coverage in the event of a fire, theft or natural causes? Does my lease provide coverage for my belongings?
The Cambridge insurance will not cover your personal belongings. We suggest getting renter’s insurance for this reason. It is generally inexpensive and will cover your personal belongings if something were to happen.
What if I need to break my lease or don't return for the spring semester?
The Cambridge lease is binding and cannot be broken. If you cannot live at The Cambridge after signing your lease, you will need to sublease. Please call the leasing office for information on subleasing.
What if I need Maintenance in my bedroom or apartment?
If you need maintenance, simply go to our website and fill out a maintenance request. You can also call or stop by the front desk. If it is an emergency, please notify the front desk immediately.
